My journey began in 2015. After I  became disabled, I was given the opportunity to go to school to learn a new skill. I was given a variety of choices but when bench jeweler was offered, I seized the chance! I attended the trade school "Studio Jewelers" in NYC, where students from around the globe spent 5 days per week for 6 months learning the age-old art of jewelry making that includes metalsmithing , wax carving, stone setting, and casting. Several years later, I had the good fortune to be accepted to the G.I.A. in NYC, a world renowned school for Gemologists and Designers. I was schooled in 3D CAD design and printing.

I have spent many years honing my craft with apprenticeships, and now I design and create my own line of jewelry,  as well as providing custom work upon request. 

BlackRose is built upon the foundation of faith in God, and I believe in good stewardship to preserve God's gifts, so I use packing and shipping materials that are recycled.
